Brett is a recent graduate from the University of Alberta’s law program. A newcomer to city living, he is originally from the small town of Souris, Manitoba, and now lives in Edmonton with his fiance and cat. He has a passion for criminal law and resolving issues of injustice.
Brett understands that, like clients, every situation is different and requires being looked at uniquely. He acknowledges that interacting with the criminal law can be stress inducing, and he hopes to alleviate even a small amount of that stress. Brett strongly believes that sometimes the solution to a problem is just looking at the problem from a different perspective.
Brett graduated from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Law in 2025. He is currently articling under Rory Ziv while focusing on criminal law. Before studying law, Brett obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Philosophy from Brandon University. Brett subscribes to the mantra that ‘A healthy mind resides in a healthy body’ and as such regularly lifts weights and rides his bike through the river valley. In his freetime, Brett can be found building sprawling LEGO sets, getting lost in the pages of thrilling comics and playing dungeons and dragons, the world’s most serious game of make-believe.
