Rory Ziv
Trial Lawyer
Rory Ziv is a well-qualified and highly experienced criminal lawyer. He was born and raised in Cape Town, a beautiful city at the southern tip of Africa, in a country divided along racial and social lines. He obtained a Psychology Degree (B.A), with honours, from the University of British Columbia and his law degree (L.L.B) from the University of Alberta. During law school he fell in love with Edmonton and decided to remain in the city and make it his home. He articled at a prominent impaired driving and criminal defence law firm.
After obtaining his law license, he began building his criminal law practice accepting all types of cases. He has since trained many students, most of whom have continued in the profession to have successful careers. He also volunteers many hours of his legal services to those in need and in 2022 he went “back to school to complete a Master-in-Laws (L.L.M) part time while still practising law full time. He was awarded his LLM from George Mason University in 2024.

Rory subscribes to the maxim that “A healthy mind needs a healthy body” and he enjoys swimming and cycling. In fact, he now regularly competes in open water swimming events having finished first, in his age category, “the swim across the lake”, in Peachland B.C. in 2024. He also loves to spend time with his three dogs an active border collie, appropriately named “Justice” and two other high energy and loving dogs “Big Boss” and “Mollie”.
